The University of North Texas is a public university, founded in 1890 in Denton, Texas. It has changed its name six times since then, to reflect the constant growth and development the institution has undergone. Moreover, it is the fourth largest university in the country by enrollment. The school prides itself with a number of programs that have been recognized around the world, including the philosophy’s department program in environmental ethics, and the jazz studies program, which was the first of this kind in the USA. Other programs, ranked nationally are public administration, art, and library and information sciences. Another important point is the fact that students have good access to various internships through the university’s accredited cooperative education program.
