The University of Waikato is based in New Zealand, and was founded in 1964. It is one of the few universities in the world to have a triple accreditation. The Language Institute at Waikato is part of the university’s Faculty of Education; it is dedicated to providing a variety of learning opportunities. The institute offers bridging, foundation, English language and university preparation programs that allow students to go on to a degree program at the university or at other institutions. Students, for whom English is a foreign language can enroll on a general English or academic English program. Custom-made options for international study groups are made available, too.
