Westwood College was established in 1953 in Denver, Colorado, as an Institute of Technology. Currently, it is a private institution of higher learning, known for the fact that it offers career-focused education on various levels – diploma, bachelor’s, associate, and master’s degree programs. There are taught through the Schools of Business, Design, Justice, Technology, Health Care, and Industrial Services. Except for the seventeen campuses the college has, it provides and online option for distance learning students. All coursework is completed entirely on the internet, through the use of modern audio/visual technology. Westwood is accredited by national organizations including the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSC) and the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS).
