Adoración Arranz, Director

Adoración (Dori) Arranz (Mrs. Kelsey) is owner operator of SpainExchange and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Spring Arbor College (Michigan) in Management and Organizational Development, and a Master of Liberal Studies from The University of Toledo (Ohio). Through her 25-year career in the United States she acquired professional experience in the fields of international education, employment and training, and human resources development along with effective skills in the development and coordination of programs and the provision of services to foreign nationals. During her employment with the Center for International Studies and Programs of the University of Toledo (UT) in Ohio, she managed the provision of services to incoming international students. The university received up to 600 new students from a variety of nations during the fall terms requiring pre-departure and arrival information, airport pick up, temporary housing, and cultural and academic orientation. As the International Services Coordinator, she was responsible for all aspects of the services provided to the new students as well as the development and coordination of the International Student Orientation Program with activities lasting 2 weeks and involving 8 colleges, the Graduate School, all student services offices on campus, and various organizations providing services to UT students outside of the campus.

As owner operator of SpainExchange, she has developed educational tours of Spain, school exchanges, and training programs for various schools, universities and educational services. Recently, she successfully designed and implemented 3 training programs, sponsored by the United States Agency for International Development through for World Learning Inc. All tours and programs have successfully met the clients’ requirements and objectives as they provided relevant learning as well as enjoyable activities for the participants.

Inma Martin, Main Instructor/Accompanying Guide

Ms. Martin has developed several of our tours, Don Quixote Route, Spanish Literature, Art History, History of Spain, and Christmas in Spain. She has guided different groups on various routes, however her areas of expertise are the literary route as well as Don Quixote’s. To make this last itinerary fun for younger students, she has developed a number of activities that are both educational and entertaining.

Ms. Martin is a knowledgeable instructor and enthusiastic group leader who enjoys working with students and their teachers. Her educational background includes a 5-year degree in Spanish Language and Literature from Universidad Complutense de Madrid and is currently working on a PhD program in Latin American Literature also at Universidad Complutense. Additionally, she is licensed to teach Spanish as a foreign language.

In the employment area and in addition to her responsibilities with SpainExchange, she has worked as a staff writer researching and writing tourism guides of Spain. Also she spent one year in Minneapolis, Minnesota working as a Spanish teacher assistant at a local high school.

Local Official Tourism Guides

SpainExchange hires local Official Tourism Guides at every major city visited. These tour guides are certified by the equivalent of a State Board after passing a comprehensive examination in areas related to art, history, archaeology and languages. They are experts in their cities holding updated qualification and recognition by their localities.
