If you wish to receive an estimate on how much a tour of Spain with us will cost you, please keep in mind the following facts:

Educational groups

W e work only with groups to provide an educational tour of Spain . Our groups are usually international secondary schools and universities. Our optimal group size is between 20 and 30, however we can assist larger or smaller groups. If you have a small group, please keep in mind that all the costs have to be divided into fewer paying passengers. That makes the cost of the tour per individual more expensive.

Customized experience

Our tours are fully customized. We provide a unique, personalized experience as we do not mix groups like big travel agencies do. With SpainExchange, your group will travel alone and will not share any of the programmed activities with any other group or individuals.

Land portion of your Spain tour

We will give you an estimate for the land portion of the tour only—please note that we provide Spain tours only. We can arrange flights and travel insurance through a travel agent in Madrid , however we do not provide initial estimates on these costs.

Ground transportation

Ground transportation is contracted with a private bus company. The busses have 36 or 50 seats and are equipped with air conditioning and CD/DVD player. Spanish law—in an effort to protect author's rights—forbids showing movies on chartered or public buses. For this reason, we regret that no CD/DVDs can be played while on the bus. Occasionally, when requested by our client, land transportation is provided by train.

Accommodations

We provide accommodations in 3 and 4-star hotels when possible. Occasionally and based on our clients' requested, we may provide housing in rural lodging or “casas rurales” as they are known in Spain. We do not work with Youth Hostels.

Meals

Two meals are usually included, breakfast and dinners. Occasionally we substitute a lunch for a dinner depending on the circumstances.

SpainExchange escort

A bilingual SpainExchange escort will meet your group at the airport upon arrival and will assist your group during your stay in Spain. The escort will accompany you group until the group returns home.

Professional tourism guides

We contract local professional guides to provide guided tours of the cities visited. These guides are experts in their cities. They hold university degrees, and have been certified by their locality after passing a comprehensive examination in areas related to art, history, archaeology and languages. The duration of the guided visit is 2.5 to 3 hours.

Customized itinerary and activities

SpainExchange will develop the itinerary and activities you request. If you are not sure what cities to visit, we can make suggestions based on your interest until a final itinerary is developed for your group.

Entrance fees to monument and museums

We will include the cost to visit major museums and monuments of the cities visited, Usually 1 to 3 places depending on the city.
