Description
Do you want to learn English quickly and well? Then Arizona State University is the place for you! At ASU's American English and Culture Program, you will have the opportunity to take 21 or more hours of intensive English classes per week as well as participate in the wide variety of social, cultural and recreational activities such as trips, parties, sports, and arts and crafts. You will also enjoy the beautiful tree-lined campus with its many theaters, restaurants, libraries, sports facilities and modern computer labs, with free unlimited e-mail and internet use. There are also many opportunities to meet and make American friends including conversation club, conversation partners program and open microphone night at our on-campus café. When applying to either an undergraduate or graduate degree program at ASU, the TOEFL requirement is waived for those students successfully completing the highest level of the AECP. Arizona State University is the third largest single-campus university in the United States, and it is nationally recognized for outstanding academic programs. Its 21 colleges offer 128 undergraduate and 150 graduate degree programs. ASU's 280-hectare campus is located in Tempe, one of the top 10 college towns in the US (New York Times).

Language Requirements:
Course offerings are prepared to meet the practical needs of highly motivated students. AECP offers six levels of instruction by Master Teachers in reading/writing and listening/speaking as well as popular elective classes including TOEFL preparation, Business English, Pronunciation, Idioms, Grammar, and Conversation.

Housing:
AECP students may apply for a dormitory or a homestay to experience American culture with an American family. Many off-campus apartments are also available.
Services and Activities:
AECP students experience a full range of program-sponsored trips and activities. Activities include field trips to scenic areas of Arizona, such as the Grand Canyon and Sedona, horseback riding, picnics, sporting events, and program dinners and dances. AECP also has 5 language clubs: hiking club, book club, soccer club, community service club, and conversation club.
