o Full health insurance during your stay. AIP will provide one if necessary.
o Native English language skills or advanced level so spoken as written.
o High- Intermediate or advanced level of Spanish. If not, the candidate can extend the intensive Spanish course at AIP the necessary period. Please consider a minimum of 8 weeks to acquire an intermediate level of Spanish if the candidate is a complete beginner.
o Balanced economical situation so to satisfy all the costs of transport, food and lodging during the stay in Spain, as a training program, internships are officially unpaid.
And to sum it up, the paticipant must have an open and social character, and must adapt to the needs the collaborating company. In exchange the student will be able to reinforce their knowledge of Spanish, better understand the Spanish business culture and will acquire intercultural skills, very valuable for personal and professional development.

AIP offers the possibility to enroll in a Spanish language course in Valencia together with a complete programme of volunteers and internships in the Valencia region.
AIP is responsible for the students' welcoming, facilities and lodging; the latter is normally with carefully chosen families to reinforce the students full immersion in our culture. AIP will also arrange an intensive Spanish course during the first 2 weeks of their stay in Valencia.
Volunteer tasks description:
The job will include: planning, directing, and executing different leisure activities such as: -games, sports, theatre, excursions etc.
The job concerns work with youths at the age between 6 - 16. It is based on constant observation and evaluation of the project transmission of fundamental every day habits of living together in mutual respect, covering the cognitive and socioemotional needs through workshops focused on both self-development and coexistence with others to coordinate other activities in connection with various educational institutions and with other volunteer groups.The intern will be expected to fully integrate with the staff that work with the youths to understand well the objectives and not to duplicate the services. Courses to higher the qualifications of the workers and interns are also anticipated. Flexible schedule of the internship allows the students to plan other activities in the mornings.
Internship tasks description:
The candidates, who must have at least an Intermediate level of Spanish, will apply the technical and theoretical knowledge acquired during their academic studies to practical everyday workplace situations.
The different collaborating companies employ students according to their profiles for periods from two to six months; it depends on an agreement set up between the company and the language school. The daily schedule of the internships will vary depending on the necessities of each company and it is not mandatory for the company to pay the student.

| Working in this large cave with six large rooms and more than two kilometers of galleries, you will be trained to excavate the sediment disturbed by mining, remove fossils and artifacts, and map the remains. You'll also clean, number, and catalogue the finds, and you'll sieve sediments for microfossils. Volunteers will focus on searching for fossils in the main room, the Sala Union, which is connected to the outside and filled with natural light from various holes, and also spend some time excavating using more traditional methods in the outdoor site. Typical work hours are in the morning and early evening, with the hottest hours of midday reserved for refreshing swims, lunch, and siestas. The team usually visits the beach for an hour before a late dinner, as the site is about three kilometers from the sea.

Cueva Victoria, Murcia province, Spain — Palaeontologists have found fossils of 54 vertebrate species and human remains thought to be 1.2 million years old in Cueva Victoria. Though the human remains recovered are few in number, they are some of the oldest in Western Europe and may provide information about when humans first migrated from Africa to Europe. A father and son team, Dr. Josep Gibert Clols and Dr. Luis Gibert Beotas are studying the origin of the cave and the age of the fossils, as well as the geologic history of the cave. The Giberts are also exploring a Paleolithic site outside the cave in which different types of stone tools have been found, as well as a variety of bones....
