Places include on World Heritage list are Charles Darwin Research Station, Galápagos Islands, Galapagos National Park, Puerto Ayora, Quito, Sangay National Park, Santa Cruz Island. The notable parks and reserves in the country are Cayambe Coca Ecological, Cotacachi Cayapas Ecological, Limoncocha National Biological, Manglares Churute Ecological, Parque Nacional Cotopaxi, Parque Nacional Cuyabeno, Parque Nacional El Cajas, Parque Nacional Galápagos, Parque Nacional Podocarpus and Pululahua Geobotanical reserve.

Some lakes found in the country are Black Lakes of Jumbura (settled in the region of Espíndola, province of Loja and name of the lakes was arrived from the volcanic stone color that shapes the lakebeds) and Cuicocha (names was arrived from the Kichwa native language and denotes Guinea Pig Laguna).

The volcanoes that are found in the country include Andean Volcanic Belt (a main volcanic belt in coastal Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Peru, South America and Ecuador), Antisana currently one of the most difficult to climb), Cayambe (Pichincha province), and Volcán Wolf (located on Isabela Island and has the highest summit in the Galapagos Islands).

Some of the finest beaches are Atacames (located in the province of Esmeraldas and popular traveler destination because of it’s reasonable price), Canoa (settled in the province of Manabí, not crowded as compare to other beaches and many hang-gliders and windsurfers are also gathered in the beach), Montañita (located in province of Guayas and offers a very popular night life for both travelers and young Ecuadorians), Muisne (situated in the province of Esmeraldas, the sand is fine and the ocean gemstone are clear) and Salinas (located in province of Guayas and one of the most expensive beaches in the country, with several resorts, five star hotels and restaurants as well as casino and yacht club).
