Guyana is a country rich with wonderful and picturesque locations that are perfect for foreign travellers and adventurers. It is home to classic and antique wooden structures, gigantic infrastructures and beautiful Mother Nature’s creations.

The Providence Stadium is the largest sports stadium in the country. It was the stadium which hosted the International Cricket Cup in the year 2007. It is also near the Providence Mall which is a major leisure spot by the people of Guyana.

The Demerara Harbour Bridge is the world’s 4th largest floating bridge.

St. George’s Anglican Cathedral is one of the tallest wooden churches and the 2nd tallest wooden place of worship in the entire world (after the Todaji Temple of Japan).

The Kaieteur Falls is the largest single drop waterfall in the world. It has a towering height of 741 feet.

Guyana’s Shell Beach, 90 miles long along the coast of Guyana, consists of a great number of tiny shells which became a nesting site for sea turtles. Sea turtles go to the beach, dig for their nests at night time, lay as many as 10 dozens of eggs, then go back to the waters. Four of the world’s 8 species of sea turtles come to the Shell Beach each year between the months of March and July to lay their eggs.

Kyk-Over-Al is a historic site built in the year 1616 to guard the junction of Mazanini and Cuyuni Rivers. Its remains remind the people of Guyana of the early Dutch adventures in their land.
