The National History of Museum is located in the country’s capital in downtown Chisinau. The place has over 263,000 exhibits. Tourists can take a look at a copy statue of the Capitoline Wolf in the yard. More than a dozen exhibitions are held every year which are important to the country. Visitors can see the place in sections which include ancient history and archeology, medieval Basarabia and contemporary history as well as treasures. People can visit any of their five branches, the Exhibitions of Military Technology and Sciusev house located in Chisinau, the C. Stamati house in Ocnita, Lazo’s Manson in Piatra and Carol the XIIth’s house in Varnita.

The Museum of national memory is located in Chisinau and built to commemorate the resistance of the people against communism and Soviet occupation. The Capriana monastery is located 40 km north-west of the Moldovan capital. The monastery is situated in an area once known as Codrii Lapusnei. The monastery was first referred to in a 1429 document; it was later rebuilt by 1545.

The Milestii Mici winery produces the best of the country’s wine and it was also registered in the 2005 Guinness record as having the biggest wine collection in the world. The winery boasts a collection of around 1.5 million bottles. It was built in 1969 as a means of storing and preserving the winery’s produce.

The Moldovan capital is the country’s central business district and it is also where major government offices are located including the parliament, administration buildings and presidential palace.
