Modern and spacious international airports are situated in various key cities in Thailand such as the Don Mueang Internationl Airport, Suvarnabhumi Airport, Chiang Mai International Airport, Hat Yai International Airport and Phuket International Airport. These airports have one of the busiest traffics in the ASEAN region because of Thailand’s bulk tourist visitors.

The Bang Na-Trat Highway and Viphawadi Rangsit Highway are the 2 elevated toll skyways located in Bangkok, helping minimize the effects of traffic congestions in major thoroughfares. Thailand has a total of 64,600 km highways with less than 5% unpaved. Bangkok is the only city in Thailand with a metro system – Bangkok Skytrain and Bangkok Metro subway. Buses are also major modes of transportation in many cities. The Tuk-tuk is also a popular transportation and a symbol of Thai culture.

The NTC (National Communication Committee) administers operation of ISP (Internet Service Provider) in Thailand. Currently, there are 20 internet service providers that serve almost 20 million internet users. Major ISPs include True Internet, CS Loxinfo, TOT, CAT Telecom, Maxnet, Buddy Broadband and many more.

A total of 6 free TV stations air in Thailand – CH3, CH5, CH7 (BBTV), NBT, Thai PBS, and MODERNNINETV. There are also cable and satellite broadcasting available. AM radio station has a total of 204 stations and 334 for FM stations as of 1999. The broadcasting industry is regulated by the NBC (National Broadcasting Commission). Major newspaper and other publications include Thai Rath, Daily News, Khao Sod,Kom Chad Luek, Matichon, Thai Post, Naew Na, Krungthep Turakij, Post Today, and Phoojadkam Daily.
