Anthropology
Bircham University’s Anthropology program explains how the four areas of anthropology: archaeology, ethnology, physical anthropology and linguistics come together to yield a complete understanding of humanity. It demonstrates both the multiplicity of human cultures and social patterns around the globe and the parallels that make all humans fundamentally the same. It also studies, from an anthropological standpoint, the effects of industrialism and globalization. Areas covered in this program are: Human Evolution, World Cultures, Civilization & Culture, Anthropology, Physical Anthropology, Cultural Anthropology, World Myths & Beliefs, Society, Family & Marriage, Folk Societies & Lifestyles and Nutritional Anthropology. Subjects account for 3 academic credits each. The Anthropology program is available at Specialist, Expert, Bachelor's, Master's & Ph.D. (Doctoral) Degree levels.
