Biochemistry
Biochemistry is a conduit between biology and chemistry. Biochemistry is a “hybrid” major and it focuses on the make-up of living things. Students will examine subjects like: how diseases develop, how humans obtain nutrients from food and why plants do well in particular environments. Suffolk University’s Biochemistry major offer an intense, laboratory-based program paired with unparalleled chances for impartial research in one of the most scientifically progressive cities in the world. Faculty will offer vital advice if students apply for National Science Foundation Fellowships, which will allow them to take part in funded summer research projects. Suffolk biochemistry graduates go on to work in laboratories and hospitals around the world and others pursue medicine and forensics graduate degrees.
