PhD in Clinical Psychology
Suffolk University’s PhD in Clinical Psychology program looks to train students to be capable clinical psychologists who operate with ethical and cultural perception in research, clinical, academic or community settings. Suffolk students are shown the methods triggering adaptation and maladaptation inside a social and biopsychosocial frame. Through all facets of training, the program inspires an awareness of and admiration for diversity. Suffolk’s faculty tackle intervention and analysis from a variety of standpoints, including behavioural, cognitive-behavioural, humanistic, developmental, psychodynamic, systemic and integrative/eclectic. The university’s intent is to empower students to take a creative, experimental, and principled approach to analytical and therapeutic issues among varied populations.
