Paris to Barcelona Summer Program
The Paris to Barcelona Summer Program at the Academic Programs International (API) is a study-abroad program provided by Parsons Paris – The New School, and ELISAVA – Barcelona School of Design and Engineering international undergraduates and adult learners. This program is specifically for students with an interest in the culinary arts and/or design. Some of the subjects that enrolled students will study include visual merchandising, design, food culture, and consumer evolutions. Students who complete this program can earn up to four credits and take their earned credits to further their studies in the culinary or design industries respectively.
Undergraduate Bachelors
Study program range from 10-18 credits per quarter/semester session and 3-9 credits per summer session.
Once potential students have discussed with their home school studying abroad with the Academic Programs International (API), the general requirements for admission are as follows: at least 18 years-old, a minimum G.P.A. of 2.5, a completed API application, an official transcript, a valid passport or permit for Non-EU students (student visa for programs over 90 days), any level of Spanish language fluency,supplementary documentation, (dependent on program), a completed Intent to Enroll form with payment, a completed University contact information form, a letter of recommendation. Some programs require a G.P.A. of 2.75 or higher.

There is a non-refundable $150.00 deposit due after completing the online application. Program payments are due in full prior to the start of the program unless the student is paying with financial aid. Students accepted into API's study abroad program must pay a non-refundable $400.00 confirmation payment (applied to the program cost), and a $275.00 security deposit, of which $180.00 is refundable if no damage/ excessive utility usage is assessed during the applicants stay. Although there are no payment plan options, the Alternative Payment Arrangement is an extension of the final payment to API and is subject to a $1,000.00 down payment (put toward the final balance) and a fee of $150.00. Please note that late fees are applicable and program fees vary, so applicants should assess their selected program fee breakdown.
