At the School of Education, Saint Louis University believes a student’s education is more just facts, but it’s about caring for the whole person – emotionally, intellectually and spiritually. Saint Louis University’s School of Education is accredited by three agencies: North Central Association of Colleges and Universities, National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education and Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. If you choose to major in education at SLU, you'll choose your concentration from: Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Elementary Education, Elementary Education with Special Education, Middle School Education and Secondary Education. Coursework covers speech and language development, instruction methods for remedial math, and language instruction in mainstreamed classrooms, and counselling and medical implications in special education. You’ll also have an opportunity to student teach in an inclusive classroom.
