Environmental Studies
Suffolk University’s Environmental Studies program is an interdisciplinary program that takes influence from humanities, the sciences and social sciences. The interdisciplinary range of this major offers students a broad understanding of the intricacies of environmental and sustainability matters. Majors in the Environmental Studies program choose between two concentrations, Environmental Policy and Urban Environmentalism. A sequence of lectures and brown bag lunch forums are sponsored by The Centre for Urban Ecology and Sustainability (CUES), these are open to the Suffolk community and they focus on a wide range of subjects including sustainability, environmental health, environmentalism, oceanography, coastal issues, food systems, food insecurity, climate change and science communication.
