Interior Design

Bircham University’s Interior Design program studies the devising and the technical as well as the ornamental elements required to design the interiors of homes and commercial buildings. The program emphasises on individual homes, offices and commercial spaces such as bars, hotels, banks, public restrooms etc. The Interior Design program describes the furniture that are best matched to a given space and the dispersal of closets and bathrooms. Furthermore, the program covers the construction features of floors, stairs, fireplaces, walls, lighting, kitchens and woodwork. It also covers other decorative components such as the use of colour theory, window treatments, inside plants, audio-visual systems, security, elevators, indoors sports areas etc. Subjects covered on this course include: Interior Design, Interior Design Resources & Materials, Construction Materials & Assemblies, Decorative Elements, Architectural Design, Planting & Recreational Design, Ergonomics, Residential Design and Commercial Spaces. Subjects account for 3 academic credits each. The Interior Design program is available at Specialist, Expert, Bachelor's, Master's & Ph.D. (Doctoral) Degree program levels.
