Journalism is the division of mass communications that gives people the knowledge they require to make sound decisions about the problems currently influencing their public and personal lives. Journalism is not just a compilation of news, it also provides evaluation, interpretation and persuasion. Bircham University’s Journalism program teaches the basics of news gathering and evaluation and the construction and writing of journal stories. Subjects covered on this course include: Writing Fundamentals & Style, The Communication Process, Media Influence, Mass Communications, Broadcasting, Writing for Television & Radio, News Writing & Reporting, Narrative Development, Script & Screen Writing, Creative Writing, Multimedia Communications, Journalism, Audio-visual Communication and Investigative Journalism. Subjects account for 3 academic credits each. The Journalism course is available at Specialist, Expert, Bachelor's, Master's & Ph.D. (Doctoral) Degree levels.
