Students can complete the first two years of the B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at SLU-Madrid before relocating to the St. Louis campus for the last two years of study. The program coursework includes engineering mechanics, mechanics of fluids and solids, engineering graphics, vibrations, controls, mechatronics and design. During the second year, students will study Introduction to Design and Manufacturing, which concentrations on the importance of design decisions on products, machines and society. Saint Louis University's mechanical engineering program begins with a solid footing in the essential engineering sciences and progresses towards mechanical engineering courses. Students will also have the opportunity to take technical electives in the more extensive areas of design, thermal and fluids, and structures.
