Philosophy
Suffolk University’s Department of Philosophy is a diverse department that offers historical, theoretical and thematic methods to the lasting questions and the development of ideas. Suffolk University’s Philosophy program give emphasis to two mutually enhancing areas of examination: the history of philosophy and ethics. The Philosophy Department encourages a powerful but relaxed culture of conversation and camaraderie. Suffolk regularly holds guest panels, lectures and conferences. The undergraduate Philosophy Society meet every week to debate texts and ideas. Suffolk invites students to take a course or visit one of their events. Concentrations include Applied Ethics.
