Public Service Minor

Suffolk University’s Public Service minor is perfectly suited for students that want to make a difference at healthcare organizations, non-profits or government agencies. A public service minor will present students to the area of public management where they will learn how to function in publicly managed administrations and how to have a say in public policy creation, stratagem and implementation. Other topics include the basics of public sector budgeting, managing non-profit organisations, business operations and public and non-profit human resource management. As a public service minor, students may put aside up to four courses if they are accepted into the Suffolk Master of Public Administration (MPA) program. This allows them to complete both degrees in just five years.
