Translation & Interpretation
Bircham University’s Translation & Interpretation program delivers the principles of translation and interpretation with key focus on theory, text analysis, effective research techniques and team work. The program ponders the specific characteristics of business, technical and legal texts; the philosophy of translating literature; and the approaches for dealing with varied information media. Special Considerations of this program: The students must master the two languages involved. Evidence of language level is needed prior to admission. Subjects covered on this course include: Writing Fundamentals & Style, Literature: Forms, Genres, History, The English Language, The Communication Process, Multicultural Diversity, Narrative Development, Business Communications, Multimedia Communications and Translation & Interpretation. Subjects account for 3 academic credits each. The Translation & Interpretation course is available at Specialist, Expert, Bachelor's, Master's & Ph.D. (Doctoral) Degree levels.
