Women's and Gender Studies
SLU’s Women's and Gender Studies Program examines the situations of women in different world cultures, including diverse ethnic groups within the US. The program focuses on today and gives attention to the historical impacts of women in building nations and cultures. SLU’s minor in Women's and Gender Studies is available at SLU-Madrid. Students wishing to major in Women and Gender Studies are able to start their degree in Madrid but will then need to complete it in St. Louis. Students who study Women’s and Gender Studies can pursue vocations in education, business, journalism, law, advocacy, health care, social services, government and the arts. Graduate opportunities include further work in women’s and gender studies, political science and law.
