Saint Mary's University (SMU) is a school, founded in 1802 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. The TESL Centre at Saint Mary's University is one of the most reputable English language centers in the country. It makes available a good range of ESL and teacher-training programs, created with the students’ needs in mind. Options offered include English for Academic Purposes (EAP); University Bridging Program (UBP); English for Personal and Professional/Practical Communication (EPPC); One-month ESL Immersion (IMM). English language support to students enrolled on undergraduate and graduate programs is offered, too. Further opportunities include a certificate and diploma in Teaching English as a Second Language; as well as a Masters program in Curriculum and Instruction with a Specialization in TESL/TEFL, provided in association with Mount St. Vincent University.
