Religious Beliefs and Spirituality in Greece
The majority of Greek citizens (98%) are baptized into the Greek Orthodox Church. Estimates of the recognized Muslim minority, which is mostly located in Thrace, range from 98,000 to an estimated 140,000 while the immigrant Muslim community is between 200,000 and 300,000.
Other communities in Greece include Roman Catholics, Old Calendarists, Jehovah's Witnesses, and Protestants. There is a long-standing Jewish community numbers approximately 5,500 followers. Ancient Greek religion is also coming back.
