Health Care, Disease Control, Crime and Safety in Macedonia

The security situation in the Republic of Macedonia is currently stable. The Peace Corps are the one responsible for the safety and security of the people of Macedonia. The Peace Corps specializes in prevention of diseases. Peace Corps Medical Officer (PCMO) maintains the Macedonian clinic together with one part time medical officer.

The people of Macedonia are trained, called volunteers, by the Peace Corps to assist in the security and safety needs of the country. Many of the residents of the country participate in the said training. We can assume that a large number of citizens are knowledgeable and well informed for the safety and security for themselves and others.

There are available facilities in the local hospital of Macedonia for testing and treatment of diseases. When the patient is ill, he/she is transported into a more advance and specialized hospital for treatment.

The Office of Inspector General (OIG) is responsible for pursuing the prosecution of the crime perpetrator. The OIG make sure that the victim is aware of all the information and rights he need in prosecuting the suspect.

Social Security Coordination and Social Security Reforms (SSCSSR) has monitored the Republic of Macedonia and provided services to solve long term problematic cases concerning health insurances and pensions. The SSCSSR assists Macedonian citizens for the beneficiaries of the health insurances and pensions.

The Republic of Macedonia is also monitored and assisted by the U.S. Government. The country’s laws and safety are also designed for the safety of the tourists especially the Americans. There are laws and bills passed in order to monitor the safety and security tourists and legal aliens.
