Burr and Burton Academy (BBA) is an independent, coeducational secondary school, operating in Manchester,Vermont. The institution was established in 1829 and has been serving the educational needs of students from Manchester and the surrounding communities of Dorset, Danby, Londonderry, Landgrove, Mt. Tabor, Peru, Stratton, Sunderland, Weston and Winhall. The school offers 155 academic courses as well as ten advanced placement courses. Furthermore, arts at the school are compulsory. They are made available through three separate departments: the Media Arts and Sciences Department, the Performing Arts Department and the Visual/Practical Arts Department. These offer opportunities in the disciplines of Dance, Drama, Music, Technology, Graphic Design, Visual Art, Film, Drafting and more. The international student body in the school is represented by about of 50 students each year.
