Patagonia Spanish

Language school in Buenos Aires, Argentina

Patagonia Spanish

Patagonia Spanish, the name used on the school's website, runs Spanish language schools in six locations in Argentina, Chile and Uruguay: Buenos Aires, Bariloche, Córdoba, Mendoza, Montevideo and Santiago. Its main offices are in Buenos Aires and Montevideo, and the Buenos Aires school is at Hipólito Yrigoyen 571, near Plaza de Mayo. According to the school, all its schools are certified by external quality agents.

The main programme is a group course of 20 classroom hours per week, with a maximum of 7 or 8 students per group depending on the location. Courses at all levels start every Monday throughout the year, and classes are always taught in Spanish. Levels follow the Common European Framework of Reference and the US ACTFL standard. Because all schools use the same level system, students can combine several destinations and pay the inscription fee only once. Private classes can be arranged for special needs such as business Spanish, and for an extra fee a local university issues a certificate or transcript that can be used for university credit in the US or Europe.

The group course includes study materials and afternoon activities in Spanish, such as tours, concerts and social events. The school recommends staying with local host families. First contact is by email to [email protected].
