Alexandria Technical & Community College (ATCC) is a public two-year college in Alexandria, in the lake country of West Central Minnesota, about two hours northwest of Minneapolis/St. Paul. It was founded in 1961 as Alexandria Area Vocational Technical School, has carried its current name since 2010 and is a member of the Minnesota State colleges and universities system. According to the college, it teaches more than 4,700 students each year.

ATCC offers more than 50 programmes and transfer pathways in fields such as business, design, education, human services, health, manufacturing, police training and transportation. Most programmes take two years or less, and some certificates and diplomas last one year or even a single semester.

A new transportation training facility, the Central Specialties Transportation Center, is due to open in autumn 2027. The college has two on-campus student housing buildings for about 300 students, with furnished units that include bathrooms, a full kitchen and WiFi, and keeps a list of local landlords who rent to students. Its Legends athletics teams compete in sports including baseball, soccer, golf, volleyball and eSports.

Key dates for the 2026-27 academic year:

• Fall semester 2026: starts 24 August; payment deadline 28 August, balance due in full by 28 September
• Spring semester 2027: starts 11 January; payment deadline 15 January, balance due in full by 16 February
• Summer semester 2027: starts 17 May; balance due in full by 6 August

By each payment deadline students must pay in full, pay a deposit of 15% or US$300 (whichever is less), join a payment plan or have submitted the FAFSA, or their registration is cancelled.

ATCC students have three housing options:

• ATCC Foundation Student Housing on campus: J.A. Wedum Foundation Hall (studio and two-bedroom apartments) and Foundation Hall (two- and four-bedroom apartments), for about 300 students in total
• Rental housing in the Alexandria community, through the college's Housing List of local landlords
• The Roommate Finder Group, an online group where students look for roommates and housing

On-campus units are fully furnished, with bathrooms, a full kitchen and WiFi, and laundry on site. Applications for Foundation housing open on 1 January and are processed from February.
