Amanay Surf School and Surf Camp,Fuerteventura
Vocational school in Caleta de Fuste, Spain
Amanay Surf School is a surf school and surf camp on Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands, working from Caleta de Fuste and Corralejo. It was founded at the beginning of 2014 by a Polish-Spanish couple, Magda and David; David, who was born on Fuerteventura, is the head instructor. Courses run every day throughout the year.
- Surf course for beginners
- Surf course for intermediates, for surfers who can already catch whitewater waves
- Private lessons for individuals, families or friends, for all levels and ages
- Surf camp packages combining lessons and accommodation
Lessons are given by licensed instructors (ISA, FES or FCS), and each student's level is checked on the first day. The school offers free pick-up from accommodation in Caleta de Fuste, Puerto del Rosario and Corralejo, and chooses the beach each day according to conditions, using spots across the island such as La Pared, Playa Blanca, Corralejo and El Cotillo. A session lasts three hours on the beach, including about 1.5 to 2 hours in the water, and includes all surf equipment and accident and liability insurance. For the surf camp, students can stay in a surf house with private or shared rooms or in a surf hostel in Corralejo. The office is not open to the public: bookings are made online, by phone or via WhatsApp.
