The American University of Central Asia (AUCA), founded in 1993, is an international, multi-disciplinary university in the American liberal arts tradition, located in the Kyrgyz Republic. Through a partnership with Bard College in the United States, it offers US-accredited liberal arts degrees; the university states that it was the first in Central Asia to do so. Teaching is primarily in English, by faculty from Kyrgyzstan and many other countries.
AUCA offers undergraduate programmes and master's degrees, among them:
- Master of Business Administration
- Master of Arts in Applied Psychology
- Master of Arts in Central Asian Studies
- Master of Laws (LL.M.)
It also runs a preparatory programme and a Continuing Education Center. Students can take part in more than 50 exchange programmes in over 24 countries, and AUCA is a member of the Open Society University Network (OSUN). The campus has digital and print library collections, indoor gyms, a TV and recording studio and an environmental chemistry laboratory. An International Students Office supports applicants from abroad. Undergraduate admission includes an admissions exam, and financial aid is available for undergraduate programmes.

Admission for Spring 2027: the last day to register for the admissions exam is 27 October 2026 (17:00), and the exam takes place on 1 November 2026.
