It has about 6,000 students and offers more than 40 programmes leading to the diploma of college studies (DEC): two-year pre-university programmes leading to university and three-year technical programmes leading to university or employment. It also offers over a hundred programmes and courses for adults.
- Pre-university: natural sciences, social sciences, arts, letters and communication, music, visual arts
- Health: nursing, dental hygiene, respiratory therapy, optics
- Agri-food, environment and engineering technology (civil, electrical)

International students apply through the regional admission service (SRAM) to one of the three colleges, for programmes open to international applicants. They receive help with their procedures before arrival, welcome activities and support centres in French, English, mathematics and computing. French citizens are exempt from international tuition fees, and a very limited number of exemptions exist for other international students.

Admission
International applicants choose a programme open to international students and apply online through the regional admission service (SRAM) to one of the three colleges; some programmes admit new students only in the fall. At least 11 years of schooling (equivalent to a Quebec secondary diploma) is generally recommended, plus any programme-specific conditions. Deadlines are 14 March for the fall term and 31 May for the winter term, and the cégep recommends applying at least six months ahead. After admission, students obtain a Quebec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ) and a Canadian study permit; SRAM offers immigration advice.
Duration
Pre-university programmes last 2 years and technical programmes 3 years; each year has two terms. The fall term starts around mid-August and the winter term around mid-January.
Scholarships and financial aid
French citizens who do not live in another Canadian province when applying are exempt from the tuition fees charged to international students, under the France-Québec agreement. A very limited number of tuition exemptions funded by the Quebec ministry of higher education are available to other international students; the cégep assesses eligibility once a student has been admitted. Students should also budget for related fees, insurance and living costs.
