Centrale Lille Institut is a public engineering institution based on the Cité Scientifique campus in Villeneuve-d'Ascq, near Lille, in northern France. Its history goes back to the École des Arts industriels et des mines, opened in 1854. Since 2019-2020 it has grouped four engineering schools: École Centrale de Lille (general engineering), ENSCL (chemical engineering), ITEEM (engineering and management, with SKEMA Business School) and IG2I (digital and industrial engineering), the last on a campus in Lens.
It offers engineering degrees, master's degrees, PhDs, a bachelor's degree and its own school diplomas. The masters are co-accredited with the Université de Lille in 7 fields with 15 tracks, 7 of them taught entirely in English. Most other courses are taught in French, and international students take compulsory French as a foreign language classes throughout the year.
Options for international students include:
- Double degrees with partner universities
- Exchange semesters or years, including English-taught semesters
- Master's and PhD programmes
- A Summer Research Immersion Programme from mid-May to mid-July
International students of École Centrale de Lille and ENSCL can stay in halls of residence on the Villeneuve-d'Ascq campus.

PhDs are awarded in three doctoral schools: engineering and systems sciences (ENGSYS), mathematics and digital sciences (MADIS), and matter, radiation and environmental sciences (SMRE).
- Students of partner universities apply for double degrees and exchange semesters through their home university, which runs a selection each year; double-degree students spend up to two years at Centrale Lille
- Students from non-partner universities (freemovers) can apply individually for a master's programme and pay registration fees that depend on the course
