The Conservatorio Superior de Música de Castilla-La Mancha (CSMCLM) is a higher music conservatory in Albacete, at Calle Zapateros 25. It teaches the enseñanzas artísticas superiores in music regulated by the Castilla-La Mancha regional education department, which lead to the Título Superior de Música. Students complete a final project (Trabajo Fin de Estudios) to obtain the degree.

Admission is through a specific entrance test (prueba específica de acceso) for holders of the Bachillerato or an equivalent qualification; applicants aged 16 or 17 without it can first pass a maturity test. Fees follow the regional public price scale (precios públicos). The conservatory takes part in Erasmus+: exchange students from partner institutions can study at the CSMCLM for one or two semesters, applying through their home International Office and the AEC mobility platform.

Admission
Admission is by a specific entrance test (prueba específica de acceso). To take it, applicants need one of the following:
- Bachillerato (Spanish upper-secondary diploma)
- A higher arts degree, university degree or Técnico Superior diploma, or an equivalent or recognised qualification
- A pass in the university entrance exam for people over 25
Applicants aged 16 or 17 without these qualifications can take part after passing a maturity test (prueba de madurez), organised by the Albacete education office. Applications are filed with the Castilla-La Mancha regional government, in person or through its electronic registry.
Erasmus+ exchange students apply through their home institution's International Office via the AEC platform. They must be at least in their third semester, study an instrument offered at the CSMCLM or composition or conducting, and come from a partner institution. Applications include a CV, motivation letter and a recording of about 20 minutes (three pieces); composers send two or three scores.
Fees
Public prices (precios públicos), 2026-27 academic year:
- Entrance test fee: €50
- First year: €25 file opening fee, €10 general services and €540 tuition
- Second to fourth year: €10 plus €9 per credit (first enrolment), €10.80 per credit (second enrolment) or €12.10 per credit (third enrolment)
First-year tuition is free for students who completed the Bachillerato in Castilla-La Mancha and applied for the Ministry of Education grant; they still pay the €25 and €10 fees. Tuition can be paid in two instalments. Students under 28 also pay €1.12 school insurance.
Deadlines
Erasmus+ exchange students: applications for the winter semester (mid-September to end of January) and the following summer semester (February to end of June) are due by 1 May each year.
