The Deutsche Schule Málaga (Colegio Alemán de Málaga) is a private German school in Elviria, in the municipality of Ojén near Marbella. Founded in 1898, it belongs to the worldwide network of official German schools abroad: it is overseen by the Standing Conference of German Education Ministers (KMK), receives staff and funding from Germany through the Central Agency for Schools Abroad (ZfA), and is authorised by the Spanish Ministry of Education. Teaching follows curricula approved by the German authorities. In October 2022 the joint federal-state inspection awarded the school the quality seal "Exzellente deutsche Auslandsschule" for the third time.

Students of all nationalities are admitted if they meet the language and academic requirements of the grade they apply for; kindergarten entry from age 3 needs no prior language knowledge. The process has three steps: contact through the school's form, an information meeting, and the admission decision. Kindergarten admissions start in early March; in higher grades places are offered as they become available. Applications are accepted all year, with a deadline at the end of February for the kindergarten.
Applicants must meet the language requirements of the grade they apply for. Kindergarten entry (from age 3) needs no prior knowledge of German or Spanish. German-speaking students who arrive without Spanish receive individual support until they can follow regular lessons.
