Escuela de Arte de Oviedo
Vocational school in Oviedo, Spain
The Escuela de Arte de Oviedo is a school of art and design in Oviedo, located at Avenida Julián Clavería 12. It teaches the Bachillerato and vocational training cycles in Plastic Arts and Design (Ciclos Formativos de Artes Plásticas y Diseño). Examples of past access tests are published for professional families such as applied arts of the book, applied arts of sculpture, interior design, and graphic and audiovisual communication.
Admission to the higher-level cycles requires the Bachillerato or another listed qualification (or a recognised access test) and passing a specific entrance test that shows the knowledge and aptitudes needed for the studies. Holders of the Bachillerato in Arts and of certain higher art, design or architecture qualifications have direct access to a limited number of places. Applicants with a related higher technician diploma in Plastic Arts and Design, or at least one year of directly related work experience, can ask to be exempted from the specific test.
As a general rule, pre-registration for the cycles takes place in May and the specific tests in June, with an extraordinary call in September if places remain. Bachillerato pre-registration is usually in April and enrolment in July. Exact dates are published for each school year.
