Escuela de Arte y Superior de Diseño "Pablo Picasso"

Higher education centre in A Coruña, Spain

The Escola de Arte e Superior de Deseño (EASD) Pablo Picasso is a public school of art and design in A Coruña, Galicia, located at Os Pelamios 2. It is one of four public EASD schools run by the Xunta de Galicia. Besides advanced vocational cycles (ciclos superiores) in illustration, photography, sculpture and gilding, it offers higher arts education (Enseñanzas Artísticas Superiores) in Design.

The school teaches two design specialities, Graphic Design and Interior Design. Each leads to the Título Superior de Diseño, a level-2 (Grado) qualification in the Spanish framework for higher education (MECES), equivalent for all purposes to a university bachelor's degree. The programmes last four academic years with 240 ECTS credits, include company placements and a final project (TFE), and are taught in person in Galician and Spanish. The first year is common to all design specialities.

Admission requires the Bachillerato or an equivalent qualification (or the university entrance exam for over-25s) and a pass in a specific entrance test; the general university entrance exam is not required. Students can apply for an Erasmus grant to spend part of their studies or their placement at a partner institution abroad.
