The Escola Oficial d'Idiomes (EOI) Castelló de la Plana is a public official language school in Castelló de la Plana (Valencian Community). Its main building is at Calle José Pradas Gallén 8, and it also has sections in Almassora and in El Grau de Castelló. It teaches German, Arabic, Chinese, Spanish as a foreign language, French, English, Italian, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian and Valencian.
In Spanish as a foreign language (español como lengua extranjera) the curriculum covers levels A2 (two courses), B1, B2, C1 and C2 of the Common European Framework of Reference. For the 2026-27 academic year, Spanish groups run from 1A2 to C1, all face-to-face, with morning and afternoon classes twice a week. Courses last from late September to late May. Across its languages the school also offers blended and fully online courses and short conversation courses of 30 or 60 hours, and external candidates can sit the official certification exams (PUC).
Applications are made online through the regional ADMINOVA platform. Students of any nationality may enrol in a language other than the official language of the country where they completed compulsory schooling. People who already speak some Spanish but have no certificate can take a placement test (test de clasificación).

Programmes
Spanish as a foreign language follows a curriculum of two A2 courses (1A2, 2A2) and one course each at B1, B2, C1 and C2. Groups for 2026-27:
- 1A2 and 2A2 (Básico A2)
- B1 (Intermedio)
- B2 (Intermedio)
- C1 (Avanzado)
All Spanish groups are face-to-face, with two two-hour classes a week, in the morning or afternoon (between 9:00 and 19:00), from late September to late May. The school also runs non-certified conversation courses of 30 or 60 hours.
Admission
- Be 16 or over, or turn 16 during 2026; from 14 for Spanish as a foreign language if the applicant has been schooled in the Valencian education system for the two years before the 2026-27 course
- Students of any nationality may enrol in a language other than the official language of the country where they did their compulsory schooling
- EU and non-EU citizens provide their NIE
- Entry above 1A2 with a recognised certificate or through a placement test
For 2026-27, applications on the ADMINOVA website ran from 18 June to 3 July 2026 (ordinary round) and from 4 to 10 September 2026 (extraordinary round); enrolment in vacant places is now open.
