Hispania Estudio - 2
Language school in Madrid, Spain
Hispania Estudio-2 is a school of Spanish for foreigners in the historic centre of Madrid, at Calle Mayor 10, between the Puerta del Sol, Ópera and the Royal Palace. Founded in 1991, it teaches only Spanish as a foreign language, in person and online, at all levels. It uses its own method written by its teachers, all of whom, according to the school, hold a degree in Hispanic Philology from the University of Salamanca. Groups have a maximum of six students, classes are practical (grammar, vocabulary and conversation), and courses start any Monday of the year after a placement test on the first day.
- Standard group course, from 4 weeks
- Intensive group course, from 1 week
- Summer courses in July and August (2 to 8 weeks)
- DELE exam preparation
- Individual lessons and special courses (business Spanish, theses, courses for Spanish teachers)
- Alternate-day course (Monday, Wednesday and Friday; intermediate level required)
- Courses for groups of 5 or more
- Online courses and cooking courses
Courses include teaching materials, a student card, an attendance certificate and cultural activities; the school also has a kitchen classroom. Students can stay with Spanish host families arranged by the school, and the school sends an enrolment confirmation to students who need a student visa.

Admission
Students enrol with the online form on the registration page or by sending the printed form by post with two passport-size photos. Enrolment is confirmed once the advance payment and the form have been received. Before classes start the school needs two photos and a copy of the passport (or ID card for EU citizens). Students who need a course confirmation for a student visa must pay the full course, and accommodation if booked, when enrolling. A placement test is taken on the first day; the course certificate requires attendance of at least 85% of classes.
Housing
The school arranges accommodation with Spanish host families. The accommodation period must match the course dates and cannot be longer than the course. Accommodation and airport pick-up are optional extras booked with the course. Accommodation can be cancelled with full refund up to 14 days before the arrival date.
