The Institut National Universitaire Jean-François Champollion (INU Champollion) is a public higher-education institution and a founding member of the University of Toulouse. It has three campuses in the Occitanie region of southern France, in Albi, Castres and Rodez, and about 4,000 students.
Around 30 bachelor's and master's programmes are offered across six areas:
- Arts, literature and languages
- Humanities and social sciences
- Law, economics and management
- Science and technology
- Computing for health, with the ISIS digital health engineering school in Castres
- Sports science (STAPS)
Research is organised around four cross-disciplinary themes: health and environment, digital technology and society, organisations and change, and heritage and territories.
INU Champollion runs about thirty exchange programmes with foreign universities; exchange students stay for one or two semesters, and the university reserves rooms for them on the Albi campus while places last. EU students apply on the same terms as French students. The university is also an approved centre for the TCF French test.

- Non-EU students need a foreign qualification giving access to university; for the first year they use the DAP admission procedure (Campus France where available)
- Second and third year of a bachelor's degree: application through the Aria portal
- Master's degrees: application on MonMaster, assessed on file and sometimes an interview
Teaching is in French. Non-EU applicants from countries where French is not the official language must take the TCF (Test de connaissance du français), which assesses written and oral comprehension and written expression; some candidates are exempt. INU Champollion is an approved TCF test centre, and the language level is taken into account when applications are assessed.
For exchange students, INU Champollion reserves a room on the Albi campus when they apply, subject to availability; students on the Rodez campus are referred to the Foyer Sainte-Thérèse in the town centre. Other international students look for housing themselves, in public or private accommodation, shared flats or rooms in private homes. The university advises budgeting €680 to €840 a month for living costs.
