Kazakh-American University (KAU, Казахско-Американский Университет) is a university in Almaty, Kazakhstan, founded in 1997. It was created to combine programmes of American and Kazakhstani universities and, according to KAU, ran the first dual-degree programme in Kazakhstan. Today students can also earn a second diploma from The Swiss Institute of Technology and Entrepreneurship (SITE), which the university presents as two diplomas in four years. KAU became a member of AAC&U in 1999, and in 2015 IEC (KAU) passed international accreditation by IQAA.

Applicants from Kazakhstan submit, among other documents, their school-leaving certificate and their Unified National Testing (ENT) certificate. Tuition discounts of up to 100% depend on the ENT score or an Altyn Belgi award, and there are reductions of 10% when two or more family members study at KAU and 5% for paying a full year in advance. Students can take part in international scholarship programmes such as Erasmus+, Mevlana (Turkey) and AAC&U (USA), and do placements and internships with more than 142 partner organisations. The admissions office is at Ryskulbekova Street 28 in Almaty.

- Identity document (original and copy)
- Original school-leaving certificate or technical/vocational diploma with transcript
- Six 3×4 cm photos
- Medical certificate (form 075-U, with chest X-ray) and vaccination record (form 063)
- Unified National Testing (ENT) certificate
- Military registration certificate (male applicants)
- Copy of birth certificate if a parent signs for an applicant under 18
- Electronic digital signature (EDS) key
Scholarships and financial aid
Tuition discounts listed for 2026 admission, granted under the university's discount regulations and with supporting documents:
- ENT score 126+ or Altyn Belgi award: 100%
- ENT score 110-125: 50%; 90-109: 25%; 80-89: 15%
- International sports and olympiad champions, and winners of the KAU Bilim Qyrany olympiad: up to 100%
- Two or more family members studying at KAU: 10%
- Full payment of a year in advance: 5%
