Langdons Language Institute (LLI) is a language school in Chaguanas, Trinidad and Tobago, dedicated to teaching English as a second language. It runs intensive total-immersion English programmes, and its students come from across Latin America.
Teaching follows the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR), and English is the only language of communication in class. A placement test before the start places each student at the right level, and groups have at most eight students. Classes run Monday to Friday in five to six sessions a day of 45 to 60 minutes, covering reading, writing, listening, speaking and grammar, with at least two teachers each day. The school states that its teachers are native speakers certified in TESOL. Progress is assessed weekly, and students receive a final certificate with their CEFR level (A1-C2).
