The Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU) is a university in Munich, Germany. It describes itself as one of the largest and most research-intensive universities in Europe, with a highly differentiated range of subjects. Research and teaching are organised in faculties, and the university takes part in the German Excellence Strategy. Students study in the heart of a major city, which, according to LMU, offers many opportunities to gain practical experience during their studies.

LMU supports students at every stage, from prospective students and first-year students to those preparing for exams and new graduates. Services include advice and orientation for prospective students, a workspace for students and a career service. Programmes can be searched with the LMU study programme finder, and the website explains application, admission and enrolment. The university also runs a support programme for Ukraine.
