Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) is a private, nonprofit university specialising in the health and life sciences, founded in 1823. It has three campuses, in Boston (179 Longwood Avenue), Worcester and Manchester, New Hampshire, as well as online programmes and a School of Professional Studies. MCPHS describes itself as a teaching institution and has a student-to-faculty ratio of 13 to 1.

The university offers more than 100 undergraduate, master's and doctoral programmes in over two dozen health and life sciences fields, including:

  • Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy

  • Premedical Health Studies

Students complete internships and clinical placements in hospitals in central Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Boston's Longwood Medical and Academic Area. International students make up about 15 percent of the student body and have additional application requirements; the financial aid office helps them find private loans, make international payments and identify merit-based scholarships. Separate admission routes exist for first-year, transfer, graduate and international applicants.
