Montessori Schoolhouse Logroño is a private, secular and co-educational American international school in Logroño (La Rioja) for children aged 15 months to 12 years. It opened in September 2015 with early childhood education and has grown year by year; it now has pupils up to the sixth year of primary. As an international school it is authorised by the La Rioja education department under the rules for foreign schools in Spain. The school states that it is accredited by the US agency Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and takes part in the Montessori Quality Assurance Programme based on AMI principles in Spain.
Teaching follows Montessori pedagogy and aims to meet both the Montessori curriculum and the La Rioja curriculum. Education is bilingual in English and Spanish, with most instruction in English.
