NABA – Italian Design and Fashion school

Higher education centre, Graduate school in Milan, Italy

NABA (Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti) is a private art and design academy founded in Milan in 1980 and accredited by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR) in 1981. Since 2018 it has been part of the Galileo Global Education group. Besides its Milan campus, it opened a campus in Rome in 2019 and a new international campus in London.

NABA teaches in six areas: visual arts, communication and graphic design, design, set design, fashion design, and media design and new technologies. It offers three-year Bachelor of Arts programmes, two-year Master of Arts programmes (120 CFA credits, degrees recognised by the MUR) and Academic Masters. Programmes are taught in Italian and English; NABA has offered degree programmes in English since the 1990s. Students in most bachelor's programmes can spend a semester abroad, and the academy has more than 70 Erasmus+ cooperation agreements. According to NABA, it is among the world's top 50 institutions for Art and Design in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026.

Undergraduate students can apply for NABA scholarships that partly cover tuition, and for financial aid based on merit and economic need. A new student residence, Villaggio, managed by CX, is available to NABA students.
