Raoul Wallenberg International School Palma
Primary and secondary school in Sa Vileta, Spain
Raoul Wallenberg International School (RWIS) Palma is a private international school in the La Vileta area of Palma, Mallorca, run by the Raoul Wallenberg schools, an independent Swedish school group founded in 2005 that operates 20 schools. The school states that it is accredited and approved by the British Council and Cambridge International as a primary and secondary school, and approved by the Balearic education authority (Consellería) for primary and secondary education. It currently teaches children aged 3 to 13 (Pre-K1 to Grade 8) and adds one year group each school year, with the aim of reaching age 18.
The programme is built on the Cambridge International pathway and combines UK (Cambridge) and US (Common Core) learning standards, with teaching methods inspired by the International Baccalaureate and project-based learning. Children learn to read and write in English, Spanish and Catalan, and English is the core language of the school community. A new preschool for ages 3 to 5, next to the main campus, opens in September 2026.
The campus is a historic property built in 1929 on a plot of over 10,000 square metres, with a former chapel used as an auditorium, sports courts, fields, gardens and an orchard. Admission involves an expression of interest and campus tour, an online application and a review by the admissions committee.
