The Serbian Language and Culture Workshop (Radionica za srpski jezik i kulturu) is a school of Serbian for foreigners with course venues in Valjevo, at Milovana Glišića 82, and in Belgrade. According to the school, its programmes are designed and taught by experts from the University of Belgrade and from the Serbian Language Institute of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. It teaches all levels, and courses combine language classes with popular and academic culture and excursions around Serbia.

In Valjevo the school runs a three-week Summer School of Serbian Language and Culture in July and August (20 July to 7 August in 2026), with 60 language classes, an 18-class culture seminar, twin-room accommodation and three excursions. In Belgrade, courses run all year round:

• Intensive courses of 10, 20 or 30 classes a week
• Standard course, twice a week for 10 to 40 weeks
• Summer school from June to September, and a summer school for children
• Preparatory course for university studies
• National Certificate of Language Proficiency in Serbian
• Weekend and one-day courses, and online classes

Intensive courses include a placement test, course materials, social activities and a Serbian film night. Students can stay in a hostel, an apartment or with a host family.

Valjevo Summer School of Serbian Language and Culture, 20 July to 7 August 2026: €799, or €399 for students. The price includes 60 language classes, an 18-class culture seminar, accommodation in a twin room with bed linen and towels, use of the kitchen and three excursions.

Intensive courses in Belgrade, 2026 start dates: from €130 for one week at 10 classes a week, €210 at 20 classes and €290 at 30 classes a week.
