Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania (Ship) is a state university in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, located in the centre of the East Coast's major metropolitan areas. It offers undergraduate and graduate programmes with small classes and a hands-on approach.
According to the university, it is the only state university in Pennsylvania offering Bachelor of Science degrees in civil, computer, electrical, mechanical and software engineering, and the only one offering a BSBA in entrepreneurship, through its AACSB-accredited John L. Grove College of Business. Its criminal justice degree is certified by the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences, its journalism programme is accredited by ACEJMC, and programmes in computer science, counselling, social work and teacher education are also accredited. Undecided students can spend one to three semesters in the Exploratory Studies programme before choosing a major.
Ship has a separate admission route for international students. Undergraduate admission has no application deadlines, and SAT or ACT scores are not required. Students live on campus for their first two years, mainly in suite-style residence halls, and more than 150 student clubs and organisations are active.

Housing
Campus housing is available to first-year, transfer, returning and graduate students, and students under 60 credits must live on campus for two years. Most halls are suite-style, with shared or private bedrooms for up to four roommates; two halls offer communal living and Mowrey Hall houses graduate students. Room prices include electricity, internet, water and other utilities, and students can choose their roommates and rooms.
